東京を拠点に活動しているyusuke yamatani (山谷佑介)のファースト写真集「Tsugi no yoru e...」です。
数年前、国内を放浪していた作者が最後にたどり着いた大阪で、そこで出会った友人たちと過ごした日々を記録した写真集です。
パンクやスケーター、そして女の子たちとの、日々繰り返される夜から朝へのストーリー。
Ryan McGinley, Larry Clark, Jacob Holdtらに影響を受けたという彼の作品は、時代や場所を超えた普遍的な若者の姿を写し出しています。
また、作中に登場する彼の友人たちがいつも履いていたボロボロのパンツをイメージして作られたという装丁も、この写真集を構成する大切な要素となっています。限定150部。
First photo book of Tokyo based photographer Yusuke Yamatani.
This book is a depiction of his daily life in Osaka where he spent time wandering all over the town with his friends:punks, skaters, and girlfriends.
Yamatani's work is inspired by such photographers as Ryan McGinley, Larry Clark, Jacob Holdt and portrays youth in its timeless and universal shape.
In addition, handmade cover of this book represents the commonly used ragged pants, an important element of rebellious youth fashion.
