 (much of my inspiration has always come from illustration and painting, astronauts, random amazing people I've met and places I've been. But if i had to name one photographer who has been truly inspiring to me, it would be Sally Mann)

(just because it's obsessive and beautiful and creepy like a dark fairy tale)

5. The Cemetery Of Reason - Ed Templeton 2010
(because Ed is amazing and i love how he combines his paintings, words and photographs)

6. Concorde - Wolfgang Tillmans 1997
(i don't usually like much of Wolfgang Tillmans work, as it's a bit everything-but-the-kitchen-sink for my taste. But this book is completely different. I love things with an obsessively narrow focus, and this is a masterpiece)

7. Cold Spot - Clare Woods, 2002
 (this is maybe more like a zine, but I had to include it because i love it so much)
※これはどっちかって言うとジンに近いのかも。でも大好きだから選んだの。

7.  'Death Of A Polaroid A Manics Family Album' 2011
※Cold Spot - Clare Woods, 2002 の代わりにこの本を選んでくれました。
This book was put together by Nicky Wire from Manic Street Preachers, and Farrow (the amazing guys who design all my books, website, and a whole bunch of incredibly beautiful stuff  - www.farrowdesign.com)
The Manics are very special to me, as apart from being one of my all time favourite bands, they gave me my start as a young photographer in London. I went on early tours, did photos of them in their bedrooms at home in Wales, and numerous other shoots along the way.
I didn't know until I got this book a few months ago that some of my polaroids are included (040-042).
It's probably the last shoot I did on film.

8. Girls Blue - Hiromix 1996
 ( Hiromix- best name for an artist/photographer ever!!  It seems like Hiromix and her pictures are inseparable, which I feel similarly.)

9. Diary - Corinne Day  2000
(so many photographers continue to try and copy Corinne, but no one ever succeeds because she lived it and meant it from her heart and soul, and the imitators just produce hollow facsimilies of her magical pictures)
